I once heard a mother remark that the biggest reason for celebrating her toddler’s birthday is that she kept the child alive for another year. That is almost how I feel about my blog baby. This weekend I celebrate one year of Nettie’s Confetti!
If you’ve been on the blog for a few seconds you would notice that I love a good celebration. I love commemorating birthdays and anniversaries, but enjoy even making a big deal of small things. This week Prince Charlie and I celebrate the tenth anniversary of the day he asked me to be his wife. This special anniversary reminded me why it is so important to celebrate every day.
Christmas is an opportunity to reflect on the wonderful gifts Jesus has given us that cannot be wrapped and placed under a tree.
I often wonder if God looks down on us and shakes his head sadly wondering: “Why are my children always so disheartened and discouraged? How can they be so blind to all the wonders around them?”
When we have this hope in our eternal future and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit, we are filled with joy and peace. As a result, there is no room for doubts and fears.
