“Just One More” Look at Self-control

I just want one more biscuit. Have one more drink. Let’s watch one more episode. Just one more snooze before I start my morning devotions. Why is it so hard to stop doing the things we know are not good for us? Biscuits and Netflix are not sinful, but we know that the problem of “just one more” keeps us from fulfilling the will of God with our bodies, time and minds. So why is it so hard to just say “no”?
