Going to church is a boring hobby. There are many other more fun things to do on a Sunday morning. The church is also not a club – where you can join and leave as you please.
Belonging to a biblical church means being part of a new family – bound together through the blood of Christ.

The local church is not exclusive to a particular ethnicity, family or social standing. Every member is an equal child of God and co-heirs of Christ. The only qualifying criteria to belong to the church is to be a sinner saved by faith for heavenly citizenship with Christ. There is no other reason this mish-mash of people would otherwise relate to each other.
The church is the place where this family from every tribe, tongue, race and nation comes together to practice to live together as brothers and sisters for all eternity.

The church is not perfect, and no one in the church is perfect.
Church is a hospital for sinners, not a country club for the self-righteous.
The local church is where we pray, worship, and live together to help each other overcome our sins and encourage each other through the hard struggles of life. The church is the vehicle for embracing each other in love and exclaiming, “Me too! I’ve been through what you’ve been through, and this is how God helped me through it.”

During his high-priestly prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays to the Father that you and I will know that the Father loves us as much as he loves Jesus.
“Undeserving people like us are loved by the Father just as the holy Son is loved by the Father.”
Can you comprehend that?

The unity of the church is a testimony to the truth of the gospel. The church is, in fact, a family made by the gospel. – Jared Wilson
The unity in the church is not about what we wear or how we sing.
Our unity flows from the undeserved grace each one of us have been shown.
There is no stronger bond than that.
Is your church a gift?
