Thank You for Five Years

It is hard to believe that I wrote my first post on this blog five years ago. What an adventure it has been! Thank you for your support, feedback and endless grace as I display my imperfect self and struggles, post after post. This milestone is a precious opportunity to reflect on the voyage we’ve shared thus far.

Celebrating My Man from God

This week it is my honour and privilege to celebrate this wonderful man God has blessed me with and to salute God’s marvellous work in his life in the last few years.

Grateful, Content & Ready

Big birthdays tend to force us to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, where we are, and where we’re going. The big Four-Zero is especially significant because, though we don’t know how many years the Lord will grant us in this life, this milestone marks the halfway point of our expected life span, even according to scripture (Psalm 90:10). It has taken divine intervention for me to look back with acceptance and gratitude and forward with hope as I sit in awkward silence in the present of the presence of my Saviour.

Toasting Two Years of Tears and Transformation

This week is Nettie’s Confetti’s second birthday! What a journey it has been. After taking forever to start this project of love it has now become an integral part of my life and those around me can’t escape when I have an idea or start a project. I have been humbled by the support for my (sometimes crazy) endeavours and for the feedback I have received from friends and readers from all corners of my life.

Birthday reflections and celebrations

My birthday has always been the most important day of the year for me. As children our birthday is simply an opportunity to be celebrated, be the centre of attention, and eat our favourite cake to our heart’s content. As we get older, birthdays become an opportunity to reflect on our growth and achievements.
