In the hustle and bustle of the crazy Christmas season, we need to open the door to peace.

The peace of God is not the “world peace” promised on the stages of beauty pageants or from the mouths of politicians. We live in a broken sinful world and that kind of perfect peace is reserved for heaven.
The peace of God is the calm that reigns in your and my heart because we know we have been justified through our faith in Jesus our Messiah.
“Because only those who know Christ can truly know peace.” – Jared Wilson

This is one of the reasons why this Advent devotional book club is so important: we cannot run away from our lives but we can ground ourselves in the truth of God’s promises and his gifts of grace before we step out into the warzone that is our lives.
If you need a daily reminder of the peace you have in Jesus Christ, download one of the wallpapers below and set it as your lock screen:

“Today, put your cares on his shoulders. He can carry them. Give thanks to God for his peace, which is greater than your understanding, and ask him to guard your heart and mind with it. (Philippians 4:7)” – Jared C. Wilson
