It’s only Day 2 and we get to unwrap the gift that sets Christianity apart from all other religions: justification by FAITH alone.
In all other religions (and false Christianity) you must work to earn a better standing with God before you can be justified.
Our sinful hearts want to have a part to play in our justification – that way we can steal some of God’s glory for ourselves.
But God had another plan.
He knew we would never be able to earn our right standing with him.
He knew we would need faith, so he gave us faith.
What a beautiful gift!
