It is day 10 of our study of Gifts of Grace, and today we unwrap the magnificent gift of God’s love.

At the beginning of this chapter, Jared Wilson admits that he measures God’s degree of love for him by how things are going in his life. I don’t think he is unique in this regard. Deep down we are all wired to want to contribute to God’s love towards us. But his love is perfect. We cannot have more of it than we already do. In fact, the story of the rich young ruler shows us that even when we present to Him our own self-righteousness Jesus still looks at us with love.

“Jesus doesn’t love some put-together, religious version of us. In our lowest, meanest, most desperate moments, Jesus sees us….And loves us” – Jared Wilson

Someday soon when Jesus returns we will look into his face and know that we are perfectly known and perfectly loved.
How wonderful would that be?
