I am so glad you’re joining me on this Advent adventure!
In true Advent tradition, we will open one door of the Advent calendar each day until Christmas morning, revealing an exciting gift to explore.

Our first Gifts of Grace we unwrap together today is Hope.
Biblical hope is not wishful thinking.
When people of the world hope for something, there is a “prospect of unfulfillment”.
But God’s people can look at the turmoil and trouble of this world and have hope because we know Christ is coming.
It is a sure promise we can trust will come true.

“Our hope comes with assurance (Hebrews 11:1), our hope abides (1 Corinthians 13:13), and our hope will not “put us to shame” (Romans 5:5).. Because our hope is God!“
-Jared C. Wilson
With this hope, we can look forward to the day when we look at the face of Jesus and say “I knew it all along!”
Can you imagine what that day would be like?

Just for fun – let me know when you start listening to Christmas music and when is too early (if there is such a thing).
