Welcome, dear friend! My name is Lynette. My band (the people who love me) call me Nettie.
I have lived in South Africa for most of my life, but I have also been privileged to spend two years in Boston and do a six-week internship in New York. I work in private practice as an optometrist but have been dreaming about blogging for an embarrassingly long time. I’ve always enjoyed putting my thoughts on paper and finally took the plunge in 2019 to share my heart with the world.
I am the daughter of the Heavenly Father, saved by my Lord Jesus Christ and changed daily from one degree of glory to the next to prepare for heaven. My husband and I grew up in a legalistic man-centered church but the Lord graciously saved us through a long difficult season and brought us to a biblical Reformed Baptist church in 2023. I am on a mission to spread the gospel truth, especially to women who believe lies about their worth as defined by culture and their feelings. Through the blood of Christ, you are perfectly loved just the way you are. Because of the blood of Christ, you don’t have to stay the way you are.
I am a wife to Prince Charlie, a mom to our Beagle girls Daisy & Dory, and five babies who live with Jesus until we are reunited in heaven someday. My arms are full of nephews and nieces and I am loved and supported by a large family, biologically, in-law and in the blood of Jesus.
I enjoy making music, reading good books and hiking in beautiful places.
I love celebrating life by organizing a party, enjoying a delicious meal with good company, or going on an adventure with my prince.
